USA Sports, home of the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, proudly presents the World Dog Show. Known in canine circles as the "World Cup" of dog shows, this is the first time USA will air this special event, which takes place in a different country each year. This year's four-day event took place at the World Trade Center in Mexico City June 3-6. USA's two-hour presentation will feature the climactic Best-In Show competition to name the World Champion for 1999, as well as Group Judging through a range of classifications.. This international competition of over 5,000 entrants includes dogs from all around the world, ranging from the Irish Setter to the Portuguese Water Dog to the Tibetan Spaniel. USA's David Frei provides expert commentary and Bill Macatee serves as host. |
